Do I have to be part of a Service Organisation to become a member?

No. Whilst the Ararat RSL first & foremost are here to support veterans and their family, the Ararat RSL is open to everyone & there are a variety of membership to suit. Click on the Membership tab or see our friendly Concierge for more detail.

Why should I become a member?

The Ararat RSL Sub Branch is a non-for-profit organization, who proudly supports Veterans and their Families, local sporting clubs, schools & community groups. Becoming a member, your support of the club, will be paid forward to these groups both locally & in the surrounding area.

The Ararat RSL Membership program “yourRSL” rewards you with loyalty points, birthday voucher, entry into exclusive promotions, members draw & much more.

How do I become a member?

Simply download a form or fill out member form in Venue and our friendly Concierge staff will assist, print your Membership card & you can get rewarded straight away.

Why must you sign in?

Non- members must sign in when visiting the club. Signing in is a standard procedure in Clubs throughout Australia & a liquor licence requirement.

I signed in yesterday, do I need to sign in again today?

Yes. Signing into the club is valid only for the date of sign in.

I live within a 10km radius of the club. What does that mean?

A Liquor licensing requirement, as we are a licensed Members CLUB not a hotel, so you do need to become a member after 6 visits or attend the Venue as a Members Guest.

I am an RSL Member of another Victorian RSL, will my membership card swipe or earn points?

No – The Ararat RSL features its own Membership loyalty program, however we do offer a discount to current financial members of other Victorian RSL Club members.

No, however we will offer a small discount for ex- serving & current serving personnel members of RSL & RSA clubs.

Do I have to be a member to enter the club?

No, but you will need to sign in.

Are you open Christmas Day?

The Ararat RSL is open 364 days a year. Christmas Day is the only day the venue closes, so all employees can enjoy Christmas with family & friends.

Do you cater for Vegetarians, Vegans, & gluten free dietary requirements?

Yes, we have dishes to suit. Please see our menu and speak to your friendly waitstaff when ordering.

Dress code. What is the dress code?

neat casual attire, no muscle shirts or offensive prints, hoodies or hats/caps allowed. Head attire for religious & medical reasons are acceptable.

Why do I need to take off my hat?

Staff will remind you to take off your hat when entering the RSL. This is a time-honoured tradition in RSL Venues, out of respect for our fallen soldiers.

I am a member of the Ararat RSL “yourRSL” loyalty program, why do I need to swipe in on the members kiosk?

The kiosk located at the at the entrance, is where you need to swipe your members card to get the most benefits out of your membership. Entry into current promotions, birthday vouchers & visitation points are redeemable on the kiosk.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes. The Ararat RSL sell gift cards which are redeemable on Food & Beverage.

Are children catered for at the Ararat RSL?

Yes. A kid’s menu, kids’ playroom & activity packs are all available at the RSL. Children must be always supervised by parents or guardians and are NOT allowed in some areas of the club.

Do I have to book a table in the bistro?

Booking a table is advisable to all members & guests, especially during peak times. This assists the bistro staff to keep wait times to a minimum. Although, we do our very best not to keep you waiting for anything, we ask that you be patient during peak serving times.
